7 Heads & 10 Horns

What do the 7 heads represent?

“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads  and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.” (Rev.13:1)

Sea is symbolic of the peoples of the world. “The waters are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.” (Revelation 17:15)

The beast refers to the Antichrist, who is the new World leader.

Seven heads represent the seven world empires that have ruled the Middle East:

  1.  Egypt,
  2.  Assyria,
  3.  Babylon,
  4.  Medo-Persia,
  5.  Greece,
  6.  Rome,
  7.  New World Order.

What do the 10 horns signify?

The ten horns upon his head are the ten political economic regional groupings, in which the world will be divided during the reign of the Antichrist, as they, “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power one hour with the beast.”  (Revelation 17:15)

Many have interpreted this to be the EEC (European Economic Community) as this is the same geographical area as the Roman empire. But It says clearly The whole world was astonished and followed the beast. (Revelation 13:3 NIV)

In 1972 the ‘Club of Rome’ divided the world into 10 Regions.

Local Agenda 21 – The U.N. 1992 – 10 Regional Groupings’
These ten regional political economic regions become reality and will be established when the Antichrist comes into power. These are the same as the ten toes of the statue in Daniel chapter 2. (World Overview from 603 B.C.)

Who runs the world?

These seven heads are part of the beast. This shows clearly that Satan has been the power behind the world empires and that is why Satan could offer them to Jesus, because he owned them. The Devil . . . shows him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And says to him, All these things will I  give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” (Matthew 4:8,9)

However Jesus did not accept that offer, He did not want popularity and power, instead He decided to give His life as a ransom for you and me. And that is unselfish love to the Nth degree.

What does it mean ‘he is the eight’?

“There are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet to come; and when he comes he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes into perdition.” (Revelation 17:10,11)

This was written at the time of the Roman empire; so five empires had fallen: 1: Egypt, 2: Assyria, 3: Babylon, 4: Medo-Persia, 5: Greece, and one is, that was the Roman empire at that time. The other that is not yet come is the New World Order “and when he comes he must continue a short space.”  That short space is the last seven years of World history as we know it.

Satan who ruled the seven empires “will be bound a thousand years, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years are fulfilled: and after that the must be loosed a little season During the 1000 years reign of Jesus Christ, Satan is bound in prison  “And when the thousand year are expired Satan shall be loosed out of his prison and shall go out to deceive the nations,”  (Revelation 20:3,7-9)

This is the eight time he swindles mankind at the end of the millennium, but only for “a little season”  Can you believe it? After a thousand year of peace and living in a world that we can only dream of now, Satan is released for a little while and deceives everyone again, “to gather them to battle: their number is as the sand of the sea.” What will his slogan be? In all probability it is the same line as he uses today “We have had one party rule too long. Let’s get rid of these tyrants” And yes, mankind ‘intelligent us’ will follow him again – Duhhh! “And they marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people.” Everyone comes up against their rulers. “But fire comes down from heaven and devoured them.” This is then followed by the Day of Judgment.
